Jenny Duck

Partner

Jenny is a licensed architect and interior designer with Midwestern roots and a deep love for coastal living. After years on the West Coast, she followed her heart back East and has called the seacoast home for the past decade. She is partner with Lisa Teague at Upcoast Design, a boutique interior design studio based in Portsmouth, NH.

Working at the intersection of architecture and interiors for over 15 years, Jenny brings a rare blend of technical precision and creative sensibility to every project—from luxury residences and coastal cottages to urban lofts and executive suites. Her approach focuses not only on beautiful, functional spaces, but on how every element fits together seamlessly during construction and installation.

Jenny thrives where beauty meets function, balancing big-picture vision with thoughtful attention to detail. Her collaborative approach has fostered deep, ongoing relationships with clients, builders, and vendors alike. Whether designing a custom home, selecting finishes and furnishings for a remodel, or painting a whimsical watercolor, she infuses each project with joy and a sense of belonging—creating spaces where clients can truly feel at home.

Brie Beaudette

Brie brings a unique blend of design talent and organizational expertise to Upcoast Design. With a background in event planning and styling, she understands the importance of both beautiful aesthetics and flawless execution- skills that translate seamlessly into residential design.

Since joining the Upcoast team a year and a half ago, Brie has become an integral part of the studio, managing projects with exceptional attention to detail and grace under pressure. Her warm, unflappable demeanor makes her a favorite with clients, while her proficiency in drafting and selections ensures that every design element is carefully considered and precisely executed.

Brie's excellent communication skills and meticulous organizational approach keep projects running smoothly from concept through installation. Whether she's coordinating with vendors, creating detailed drawings, or helping clients navigate finish selections, she brings both creativity and calm to every phase of the design process.

Human Resources

Zuzu

As chief greeter, Zuzu adds lively energy to the studio ensuring the whole team feels well-loved throughout the day. She also tests all upholstery for comfort and durability.

Operations Assistant

Barbara Z

With a strong set of organizational skills and an analytical brain, Barb keeps things at the studio running smoothly. She also is a skilled seamstress and upholstery wizard and often will create custom pillows, cushions, and more for Upcoast clients.

We love it when we can jump in at the very beginning! Our services include a review of your initial building plans with suggestions for revisions based on what we have learned about you and your lifestyle. We look at every detail to make sure your kitchen, bath and custom spaces are not only beautiful but that they function exactly as you want them to. We work closely with the project contractors providing detailed specifications to ensure you end up with the space you envision.
