Principal Designer
Lisa has garnered international praise for her command of color. Classically trained as a decorative artist, she uses color choice to set the tone for interior landscapes in luxury homes, seacoast cottages, urban lofts and corporate spaces.
Lisa and her team offer full-service interior design, architectural specification and space planning, along with meticulous project management, to craft beautiful, livable spaces for her clients.

UPCOAST DESIGN TEAM:
As head of human resources, Zuzu makes sure the Upcoast Design team is happy and productive. She is in charge of many aspects of the design process, including package unwrapper, wallpaper licker, quality control inspector and fabric testing. When Zuzu isn't devouring design books, she likes to hike, kayak, take naps and get belly rubs.

Jenny Duck is a licensed architect and interior designer. After graduating from the NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego with a Masters in Architecture, she began her professional career at RJC Architects. As project coordinator and designer, Jenny was involved in a variety of multi-million dollar military projects developing design concepts, producing construction documents, and assisting in master planning RFP documents. Following her passion for interior design, she joined Tracy Lynn Studio, a full-service interior remodeling and design firm in San Diego. Jenny relocated to the East Coast, where she joined Dignard Architectural (which became Stone River Architects) working on healthcare, commercial, government and educational projects. She worked for several local custom cabinetry and architectural millwork firms before joining Upcoast Design in 2020.

stephanie gaskell
studio assistant
Stephanie Gaskell grew up in Portsmouth, N.H. and embarked on a career in journalism that took her to Miami, New York and Washington D.C. working for several major news outlets for more than 20 years. Throughout her journalism career, she developed a passion for home design and is now honing her skills as a studio assistant for Upcoast Design. Stephanie also works as sales and marketing assistant for Quiet Home Paints.
Barbara is operations assistant at Upcoast Design, taking care of the necessary and non-creative administrative and office tasks of the studio. Barbara's prior experience was consistently in legal positions as a paralegal, working in many areas of law and spending the majority of her career at Fidelity Investments and other financial investment firms in Boston. Barbara spends her time taking full advantage of everything Portsmouth and the Seacoast area of NH has to offer and traveling the world as much as she can, capturing photographs of local and far away places fulfilling her love of photography. She is also a talented seamstress and chances are if you have a custom pillow of ours, Barbara made it!

Andi Teague, Lisa's daughter and co-founder of Quiet Home Paints, is a consultant for Upcoast Design. She studied Art and Art History at Gettysburg College before beginning a career in the pharmaceutical industry. After a few years, her love of color and design took over and she launched Quiet Home Paints with Lisa. She's a mother of two, lover of travel and adventure and color enthusiast -- all of which she shares in common with her mother.
